Cloud & DevOps · Hosting & Infrastructure Setup

Hosting set up properly, so the basics never fail.

For websites and smaller applications that need reliable, correctly configured hosting rather than a full cloud architecture: domain and DNS, server or managed hosting, SSL/TLS, email records, backups and monitoring.

What goes wrong

Small gaps with big consequences

01

Expired certificate or domain

The site shows a browser warning or goes offline on a date nobody tracked.

02

No tested backups

A hack or bad update happens and the only copy is on the same server.

03

Email landing in spam

Mail records were never set up correctly, so messages are not trusted.

What is included

How it works

From choosing a host to a handover checklist

You keep ownership of every account.

  1. Assess needs

    Site, traffic, email and budget.

  2. Choose and register

Host and domain in your name.

  3. Configure

    DNS, SSL, email records, runtime.

  4. Protect

    Backups, monitoring, restore test.

  5. Hand over

Checklist of logins and renewal dates.

Questions

Common questions

How is this different from Cloud Infrastructure?

This covers the essentials for sites and smaller apps. Cloud Infrastructure is for designed environments with several layers.

Do we own the accounts?

Yes. Domain and hosting accounts are in your name.

Can you move our existing site?

Moving a site between hosts is possible here. Migrating a complex system is Cloud Migration & Modernization.

Is it secure?

We apply sensible baseline settings. Security depends on the application and updates as well.

Unsure your hosting is set up safely?

Tell us what you run and where. We will reply with what we would check first.
